Nearly $ 1 billion USD to build roads connecting the Tho Xuan airport and Nghi Son Economic Zone

As reported by the Department of Transport of Thanh Hoa province, the project to construct a line from the Nghi Son Economic Zone to the Tho Xuan airport  has a length of over 60km traverse of Tho Xuan District, Trieu Son district, Nhu Thanh district, Nong Cong district , Tinh Gia district and Nghi Son Economic Zone.

This project will be constructed in two subprojects. Subproject 1 construction period is 5 years;

Length of nearly 66km from Km49 to Km369 + 500-QL47 + 400-1A Xuan Lam commune; is designed with standard grade III plain; Complete clearance of about 235ha.

Sub-project 1 has three levels of investment, the total investment option 1 is more than 4.5 trillion VND; Option 2 over 8.2 trillion VND and option 3 than 10.4 trillion VND.

Subproject 2 also has two plans under which plan 1 has a length of 63km including 53km long main route from the start line to the junction of Thanh Tan (Km0 – Km53), Ben Sung township branch (branch 1) long 2,1 km and Phu Son – Xuan Lam (branch 2) with 2-lane cross-section 12m in wide. Total investment in Option 1 is estimated nearly 4 trillion VND.

Option 2 subproject 2 will be fully invested all the main routes (Km0 – Km73 + 230) and subsidiary Phu Son – Xuan Lam (Branch 2), 23m wide, Ben Sung township branch (branch 1) cross 12m wide. The total funding for this project sub nearly 9 trillion, while implementing subprojects 2 lasted 5 years.

This route is particularly important in economic development – social, defense and security, especially direct development of Nghi Son economic zone.

Also, this route when completed, will promote the development of South Thanh  Hoa – North Nghe An, Lam Kinh Industrial Zone, Worl Heritage Ho Dynasty Citadel …

The investment on the route is essential and urgent, Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee proposed to the Prime Minister for permission to continue implementing projects to build roads from travel Tho Xuan Airport Economic Zone Facilities Son under BT or BOT form.

Chairman of Thanh Hoa Trinh Van Chien suggest, this is a huge project, with a total cost of up to 20.000 billion VND (equivalent to approximately USD $ 1 billion), will recommend to the Prime Minister for allow continued implementation of the project in the form of BT or BOT.

Department of Transport need to clarify the advantages and disadvantages of the embodiment of the second sub-project with the following contents: Length, implementation cost, construction time and the socioeconomic impact area where the route will pass through; drafting the budget plan for the clearance work.

Department of Transport works with the relevant agencies to implement the entire project demarcation. After the demarcation is completed, facility handed over to the local authorities to protect the landmark plan.

Department of Finance specifying the source of the money and planned to reimburse investors, in collaboration with the Department of Transport present report to provincial people’s committees review and report to the Prime Minister.
